Lael DeWahl has been inspired by beautiful things since childhood. Being raised by two artists, in bucolic Old Lyme, Connecticut, home to the American Impressionist Movement, she spent a good deal of her time traveling to art shows with her parents.

Together with frequent visits to the Florence Griswold Museum and the Lyme Art Academy, her appreciation not only for Fine Art but the incredible natural beauty of New England fostered her passion for a beautiful life. She studied business at Northeastern University in Boston where she met her husband; Duncan and they eventually moved to Winter Park, Florida to start a family.

In 2001, on a fortuitous trip to Italy, Lael met the talented Franceca Distefano who inpsired Lael to launch her first gallery. Since then, the gallery has grown into a comfortable, luxury boutique. Our collection inludes many artists, still with a focus on Impressionism, Plein Air and Still Lifes. The traditional influence and asthetic of growing up in New England is still evident in the collection of art and home furnishings.
